MDT RELEASES LSS-XL GEN2 FOR RUGER AMERICAN SA AR

A year ago, picking up on the popularity of the Ruger American bolt action rifle line, MDT released its renowned ESS chassis system for the Ruger American short action models followed up closely by the Gen2 release of the rejuvenated LSS-XL a couple months later. As Ruger continues to expand the Ruger American bolt action rifle line, one of their recent additions has been the release of the AR compatible versions of their rugged, reliable rifle.

The number one benefit for Ruger American shooters is that you can get away from the factory rotary magazine, which has limited capacity and might have caused grief to some of you in terms of reliability, and now take advantage of the increased round capacity of the AR-15 magazines (10, 20 or even 100 rounds). Less reloading, more shooting.

Why not add to it the sharp aesthetics and out-of-the-box increased accuracy that a MDT chassis provides? With a few modifications, MDT’s design team has updated the LSS-XL Gen2 to be compatible with these new Ruger American AR compatible rifles. If your Ruger American short action rifle is equipped with either an AR or Mini30 bottom metal, you can benefit from the many features of the LSS-XL Gen2 which we guarantee will help you shoot better.

The side relieved magazine well and easily accessible magazine latch ensure a smooth and easy insertion and release of your magazine. The barricade stop grooves in front of the magazine well provide a steady point of contact for increased accuracy shots and like other LSS-XL Gen2 models, the Ruger American model is also quite light (1.63 lb) which improves agility without compromising on the increased accuracy.

Thanks to its larger forend channel the LSS-XL Gen2 also accommodates larger barrels (up to 1.350” diameter) and all five sides of the forend are M-Lok compatible allowing numerous customization options including MDT’s M-Lok accessories and LSS-XL Gen2 Night Vision hood which adapts directly into the forend M-Lok slots. You can also install any AR-15 buttstock and pistol grip.

The LSS-XL Gen2 will be compatible with select short action Ruger American AR models (Ranch & Predator) in the following short action calibers (.223, 7.62x39, 300 Blackout & 6.5 Grendel). The LSS-XL Gen2 Ruger American AR model is strictly available in the carbine interface configuration.
