Tactical Hyve - Consistency Drill with Scott Satterlee - MDT Mention
Tactical Hyve posted a great video of former Green Beret and Professional Shooters Scott Satterlee demonstrating a dill that simulates a cold bore/cold shooter. In the video, Scott demonstrates his Consistency Drill and discusses why it is important, especially during the zeroing process.
In the video, Scott has the students take three shots at a different spot on the target. After each shot, Scott has the students get up and walk around before taking their next shot. What the drill is checking for is consistency when approaching your rifle for a shot. Scott states that shooters will often settle in after their first shot instead of being consistent from the beginning of their string of fire. After the drill, Scott had students refine the zero on their rifles. For demonstrative purposes, Scott is using an MDT ACC Premier Chassis System.
Scott’s Consistency Drill would be great to do while getting zeroed for a hunt.
