Andy Slade Wins The 2023 AG Cup! - MDT Mention
After three days of competition, Team MDT Shooter Andy Slade took first place at the 2023 Armageddon Gear Cup! Andy's win at the 2023 AG Cup follows his recent first-place win at the 2023 PRS Rimfire National Finale and his second-place finish at the 2023 PRS Pro Series Finale. Besides Andy's first-place finish and Keith Baker's third, Team MDT was well-represented by Francis Colon, Chad Heckler, and Jon Pynch.
The Armageddon Gear Cup is unique because it takes the top 30 precision rifle shooters who qualified via specific PRS matches and pits them against each other during three days of competition. After two days of competition, the top 15 are picked for the third day, and the scorecard resets to zero. The stages are deliberate and challenging, and the winner will walk away with $30,000. The Precision Rifle Blog did a great write-up of the event and the point standing during each day of competition.
