INSANE MINI 30 CALIBER OF THE FUTURE

INSANE MINI 30 CALIBER OF THE FUTURE

Hogs, or Sus scrofa, are a menace to many farmers and property owners across the country. These wild hogs' main goal is to destroy native landscapes and raid food plots. For Banana Ballistics, they are public enemy #1. However, where he lives, hogs scatter into dense pines, meaning your rifle needs to do more than just punch through the thick skin of a mobile baconator. So, in his latest video, Banana Ballistics tests popular rounds against various obstacles to see how they perform in his quest for the ultimate hog buster.

In this video, Banana tests three different calibers across three unique rifles. This includes a Desert Tech WLVRN Bullpup rifle in 300 Blackout, a CMMG MK47 in 7.62x39, and a Brenton USA Scout in an unknown, secret caliber. All shooting was done off a bench with an MDT GRN-POD. The targets were set 25 yards away.

For the ballistic testing, Banana used various barriers to evaluate each round's performance. These included treated lumber, A529 grade 55 steel of different thicknesses, concrete, and sand. These barriers helped assess the capabilities of each caliber. The secret round, called the "Mini 308," overcame nearly every obstacle, including the thickest steel shown in the video. Sadly, and not surprisingly, nothing penetrated the undefeated Sand Box—a 6-inch cube of compacted sand. What makes videos like this interesting is the use of slow-motion captured footage. This provides viewers with real evidence of how individual rounds perform. Add that to the whimsical commentary (aka, toilet seat guy) and the light-hearted style of Banana's videos, and you get a great mix of information and entertainment.

But what about this secret cartridge? 300 HAM-R, designed by Wilson Combat! For more ballistics and fun, check out Banana Ballistics YouTube channel here.
