A LEGACY

OF PRECISION

A black and silver sniper rifle with a scope.

Since its inception in November 2005 the JAE has built a reputation for being one of the most eye-catching precision chassis available. Multiple versions and improvements over the years have turned it into force to be reckoned with in the competition shooting space, offering many features and adjustment options that were ahead of it’s time. Today, we are continuing that legacy with the MDT JAE-G5 Chassis System, furthering it’s title as the ultimate stock style competition chassis.

THE PERFECT FIT

How a rifle fits and feels can be the difference between a win or lose in compeition. The MDT JAE-G5 Chassis offers extensive adjustment options such as the barricade stop position, magazine latch height, cheek rest height, and length-of-pull. It also comes with both a vertical and angled grip for optimal hand positioning.

FINE-TUNED RELIABILITY

The adjustable magazine latch lets you fine-tune your magazine placement to effectively eliminate feeding issues. For rimfire shooters, your JAE also comes with x2 magazine dowels to ensure that your magazine fits snug.

STAND OUT

Functionality aside, the MDT JAE-G5 Chassis is an aesthetic work of art. The traditional shape mixed with modern details boasts a unique and eye-catching appearance. The MDT JAE-G5 Chassis is a true testament to innovative design, blending form and function seamlessly.

DAMPED FELT RECOIL

The MDT JAE-G5 Chassis features a rubber “gasket” that sits between the stock’s panels and its aluminum core, eliminating unwanted vibrations, and creating a remarkably “dense” or “dead” feeling when shooting. This innovation helps to ensure absolute stability, allowing you to maintain precise control and focus on your target without any distractions.

This chassis is truly beautiful

This chassis is truly beautiful and well-crafted! Now, I'm just waiting to see if there's a 2-inch extended Arca rail available that would fit perfectly on it. That will complete the setup!

When you want that "Just Right" feel.

I shoot competitive benchrest .22. When I decided to build a rifle for the Unlimited class, I chose single shot Vudoo for my barreled action. Seeing that I shoot from a wheelchair, I needed that perfect, or Just Right feel to the chassis.
I loved the look and the ease of adaptability of the G4 chassis, so I bought it. A tweek here, a tweek there and this rifle is the most comfortable rifle I have ever shot.

Hot Rod for the 700

Love this chassis. Well made. It has a great balance point just in front of the magazine well. I added the Hoptic 2 round holder. Fits perfect for this chassis. GreyOps shooting plate made for the JAE completes this set up.

Doesn't fit the rifle it is designed for.

When I attempted to put my Remington 700 in my JAE-G5 chassis I found that the safety mechanism was blocked and could not move to the Fire position. Obviously, this is wrong and does not fit with the 'drop right in' promise on the website. I am still waiting to hear back from MDT about how to resolve this situation.

Outstanding Chassis

Great chassis, I've wanted one for a long time and finally decided to build my RimX in this chassis. Fit and finish is outstanding and overall build quality is top tier. The only drawback I can find is that it's a very butt heavy chassis so balancing it on a RimX with a 21" barrel is proving difficult even with all their great weight options.

A foundation for Precision

If the action and barrel provide the mechanical precision, the MDT JAE G5 chassis is what brings it all together, elevating both form and function. There are plenty of chassis options out there, but the JAE G5 isn’t just another chassis—it’s a statement.

This stock is a blend of precision machining and high-end craftsmanship, designed to be as rigid as a chassis but as ergonomic as a traditional rifle stock. The full-length aluminum skeleton ensures maximum strength and stability while reducing flex, creating a true repeatable shooting platform.

What sets the JAE G5 apart is its unparalleled level of adjustability and shooter comfort. The tool-less adjustable cheek riser and length-of-pull system allow for a perfect fit, giving me ideal head positioning behind the optic every time I set up for a shot. The integrated thumb rest and ergonomically designed grip provide a natural, relaxed shooting position that improves control and reduces fatigue over long sessions.

The Swiss Arca Rail underneath makes mounting accessories seamless. This is where I’ve mounted the MDT GRND-Pod, which provides a solid and versatile bipod platform that locks in effortlessly. Whether prone or on a barricade, the JAE G5 and GRND-Pod combination keeps the rifle rock steady and allows for fast, accurate adjustments on target.

Beyond its functionality, let’s not ignore the obvious—the JAE G5 is just downright sexy. The aggressive lines, precision-cut aluminum, and flawless finish make this chassis look as good as it performs. It turns heads, and for good reason.

The JAE you've always wanted

The New Gen 5 is awesome. MDT did it again keeping up the build quality of the original Jae but they found a way to lighten up the rear end and with an integrated Arc Rail and coming in at the price it is it's a no-brainer. If you're in the market for a precision rifle chassis but love the look and feel of a stock and one of benefit from the dead feel the J Allen provides pick one up.

All my Springfield Waypoint 2020 6.5 PRC NEEDED

This is what my 2020 need to grow up to be a perfect 6.5PRC rifle. With the Carbon barrel and black 2020 action it looks and shoots almost 1/4 MOA every time. I’m going to take it and challenge my local benches rest 600 yard 3/4 MOA F-class gong shooting competition. They all shoot F-class and I’m going to hang with them I think. If not at least I can pick it up and throw it on the ground and shoot prone out from a tri-pod without bringing a wagon of stuff to set up my rifle… :joy: This JAE-700 G5 looks amazing!

Exceptional

I own both an ACC and JAE-700 G4 and prefer the JAE-700. M-LOK side rail accepts finer threaded 10-32 size fasteners instead of standard M-LOK screws as others have said (5/16" length works nicely) Some often understated features of the JAE which I prefer over the ACC are the threaded adjustment on the mag catch, having R-Lok on the optional arca rail, buttpad section, texture, and most importantly the throw lever removable cheek piece (makes cleaning and bolt removal a breeze). I think it also looks nice as well.

Everything I want

It's as close to perfect as it gets, but it's complex in its construction though and the M-Lok attachment system doesnt take the standard screws that come with M-Lok attachments so you have to get the right machine screws to fit in the slots. Other than that I'm very pleased.

Even better than the G3

The JAE-700 was already one of the pinnacle rifle stocks on the market that was absolutely packed full of features. The new G4 made it even better by adding some small details like an over molded texture for the comb riser, option for a vertical grip angle and interchangeable side panels. The ability to tune it is just as good as ever. I would recommend this to anyone but especially rimfire shooters where mag height and support are critical to reliable feeding.
