Each Lone Peak action ships with a fluted, nitride-finished chrom-moly bolt. Cutting flutes into the bolt body trims reciprocating mass, so there's less weight to move on every cycle, quicker to run and lighter under your hand between shots. The nitride finish adds hardness and corrosion resistance on top of that, so the bolt holds up to repeated cycling without wearing.
