- The standard length long action magazine in an MDT Chassis is 3.715" unless otherwise noted in the description stating CIP or 3.85 for the longer magazine well
- If you purchased a rifle direct from an OEM or retailer, please check the specifications
- Remington Tactical Chassis Rifle and 338 Lapua XCR rifles use a 3.775" magazine not available from MDT
- Tikka T3/T3x and Savage Axis long action calibers in our chassis you must use the 3.560" option
- Will not work with 300 Remington Ultra Mag, 300 Weatherby, and similar cartridges

I bought the Field Stock for my Tikka T3X and didn't realize the polymer 3 round magazine doesn't fit the Field stock. This 5 round metal magazine is the only option. For hunting purposes I found this magazine to be very unsuitable to say the least: It is too heavy, protrudes far from the stock and catches/snags on things. It is also loud. It is not possible to load a round quietly. When the mag is full with 5 cartridges it is also too tight as the follower is pushing too hard on the cartridges, making quiet loading even harder. I resorted to only carry 3 rounds in the magazine, that made it a little easier to load smoothly.
If I had known that this was the only compatible magazine option for me, I would never have bought the Field stock. I am considering going back to the TIkka factory stock for this reason.
Please make a polymer 3 round magazine that is compatible with Tikka/Field stock.
