SCS Buttstock

MDT grnd bipod and stock are really amazing. Love the simplistic and practical application. Quality. SRS carbine upgrade next. Grew up in T. O and love supporting my fellow Cunnucks.

At first I thought it was to expensive but after multiple reviews and doing some research on buttstocks these just cane out on top and you get what you pay for. This product is built with you in mind, it's multiple adjustments to configure to the person using it is awesome and there's no wiggle no slack it's solid once you have it set to we're you want it, which made for shooting long range very comfortable and reliable. I'll be buying more.

Was super easy to install and has been great in adjustment. The butt stock screw is a bit tight but may very well ease up with use. Shooting has been very comfortable.

Amazing quality and durability. Super easy to install. Definitely a must purchase for anyone looking to upgrade their rifle.

I bought this stock for my Bergara B14 apart from embellishing my rifle much more it makes it more accurate and stable easy to install I am super happy with the purchase in fact I bought another one for my other Savage rifle I recommend it

I overall love this buttstock. I hope MDT reads this. Please put longer screws assembling the butt plate dovetail. From 1/8" to 1/4". Your design allows for it. It should go without saying locktite everything. Some 1/8 adhesive backed neoprene foam on the cheek rest is a good addition as well. After these easy improvements this thing is rock solid. Love it.

I upgrade my ruger SA RPR, really looking sexy and everything working flawlessly. But, need to least 1. 90” scope mount.

love this chassis! Perfect fit for my Bergara action. very nice quality and the Cerakote is perfect.

Who knew that when you bought your own chassis and adjustable chin rest once you put an integrally suppressed barrel you need all 3 serial numbers. Great products. Magazines are expensive but every product I have used has been top notch. Looking for one for a . 338 now.

I picked up a NIB Gen1 SCS, as opposed to what is really a Gen2 version that is now sold on the MDT website. Honestly, the SCS is a WELL made piece equipment and the Gen2 looks even handier and well made. I'm using mine in a rifle length AR15 system in 6mm ARC. It's basically a match gun, and it required something with a longer length of pull. What I found was that the MagPul PRS Gen3 does not have enough LOP adjustment, or a high enough cheek adjustment to work well with a scope. (I know, I know, but in my case, it really doesn't. ) The cheek adjustment on the MDT is wonderful, and works great with high rings (think 1. 42-1. 5+) inches. Likewise, with a 1 inch spacer, there is a great amount of LOP adjustment.

I got this to replace the luth-ar stock that came on my howa apc rifle. That thing is junk! Weak material and very sloppy. This had all the features of that one as far as adjustments but added a slightly longer LOP and very sturdy once adjusted and locked.

The length of pull piece on this stock is excellent. The cheek riser piece is good but it does not support opposite hand shooting. For this reason I purchased a CCS stock and frankensteined it with the SCS. So the new stock I made has the CCS buffer tube with cheek piece + the SCS LOP piece. In my opinion this is a much better stock and it would be nice if that was made available for purchase on the website.

Received my MDT SCS stock knowing that the buffer tube would be too short , couldn’t use the charging handle nor the carbine buffer/spring without a spacer, to function correctly on my AR15 6mm ARC rifle. So, I used a rifle length tube which produced the same length of pull as the MagPul PRS Gen3. Plus I can now use the charging handle and carbine or rifle length buffer/spring. Currently using JP Silent Captured Spring. Now I’m happy. But wait, the cheek piece is way too high even with high scope rings. Bummer. Now what? All kinds of thoughts about modifying cheek assembly to no avail. Came up with a simple fix. Remove the cheek piece, flip the assembly, replace the check piece. Now the cheek piece is low enough and can be adjusted to my desired hight. If I ever need more hight just have to reverse back to stock configuration. All of this works for me but YMMV. If MDT wants to sell the SCS specifically for the AR15 platform then I would suggest a rifle length buffer tube with castle nut attachment, cut the plastic check piece down from 5” to 4” and make sure the adjustable cheek piece assembly can move down low enough to accommodate sight alignment.

What a great product, great customer service

Bolts stripped out when tightening. Bolts come loose after firing some shots. Wasn’t happy with my purchase. Looks cool but that’s it.

Packaging was very good, shipping time was good as well. The quality of the parts were perfect. Very well made. Installation of my savage 110 tactical was super easy. Very lightweight aluminum. Highly recommend.
