The fit was as expected, excellent. Nice quality finish and was able to add a bit of weight to the rear of the rifle. If you want consistant shots the bad rider is an upgrade you will definitely want.

I have a MDT XRS chassis and I ordered the rider to fit this chassis.
This review is a 2-part review. 1st part for fit and finish which is excellent. 1st part of the review is over.
2nd part covers the design of the rider ... which leaves you scratching your head a bit.
1st of all, the linear bottom surface of the rider, the one in contact with the rear bag ... should be parallel with the centerline of the barrel. If you expect it to be - it is not. It's at an angle. It bridges some of the gap at the bottom of the stock, not not fully. Every time you take a shot, you'll have to readjust the buttstock on the bag for the reticle to realign with the target due to the angle mentioned. . Kind of annoying, because I purchased this rider to eliminate most of that motion.
Also, the fasteners provided are nowhere long enough or the right size to mount the rider to the chassis. Had to purchase new screws, M5x20mm so I can mount the part to the stock. Also, youll have to either drill out the counterbore hole in the rider or sand down the SHCS head for the new screw heads to fit in the rider's mounting holes. In the end, I didn't use the rider as the angle of the rider causes the rifle to shift with every shot. Ended up 3D printing an 160mm long flat bag rider, that is parralel to the centerline of the barrel. No movement in the rifle whatsoever. Also the cost a negligible compared to the MDT rider.
But like I metioned initially - nicely made piece of aluminum.

Works great, helps keep shots steady when using rear bag. Would love to see one that incorporates a QD for for my sling. Had to choose between bag rider or sling. Fine for now at the range, but may need to switch out for a qd during deer season.

It is a solid piece of metal and it gives a bit more weight to the overall platform. I looks awesome as well. It is actually a lot better compared to my other bag rider from a different manufacture. I built a rifle around a Pristine Action and it was already getting the best groupings I've ever had at 700yds and beyond. MDT's rear bag rider simply enhances the long-range experience of my Pristine Rifle. No complaints, it works great!
I put this bag rider on my Savage 110 in the MDT chassis.
Of course I was not surprised that it fit well and installed easily. I did not even have to move the rear buttstock weight this is installed.
I think that the bag rider helps to control the movement of the gun and hope to get more shots in the "X" ring with the help of this part.
